These terms govern the use of HeySchool AI, provided by ORNITHOAI Soft Tech Private Limited("we", "us"). By registering a school or using the service you agree to them. If you register on behalf of a school or a group of schools, you confirm you are authorised to bind it.
1. The service
HeySchool AI is a cloud platform for running a school — students, staff, academics, attendance, examinations, finance, transport and related features, with AI assistance. The modules available to a school depend on its plan and on the features it has switched on.
2. Accounts and access
- The school controls who has an account and what each person's role allows.
- Each person must keep their own sign-in private and must not share an account.
- Tell us straight away if you suspect an account has been misused.
3. The school's responsibilities
- Record only data it is entitled to record, and obtain the notices and consents the law requires — including verifiable parental consent for children's data.
- Keep its data accurate, and review AI-generated material before relying on it.
- Use the service lawfully and in line with these terms.
4. Acceptable use
You must not:
- try to reach another school's data, or test, probe or break the service's security without our written permission;
- upload malicious code, or overload the service with automated requests;
- use the service to send unlawful, abusive or unsolicited messages; or
- copy, resell or reverse-engineer the service.
5. AI features
AI features draft, summarise and suggest. Their output can be wrong, so a person must review it before it is used — a question paper before it is set, an import before it is saved, an answer before it is acted on. AI features are read-only and do not change records by themselves.
6. Fees
Fees, billing period and payment terms are set out in the school's order form or plan. Unpaid fees may lead to features being limited or the account being suspended after notice. Taxes are extra where applicable. Cancellations and refunds follow our Refund & Cancellation Policy.
7. Your data
The school owns its data. We use it only to provide the service, as described in our Privacy Policy and Data Processing terms. A school can export its data while its subscription is active and for a period after it ends.
8. Availability and support
We work to keep HeySchool AI available and to fix problems promptly, but we do not promise uninterrupted service. We may carry out maintenance, preferably outside school hours, and will give notice of planned downtime where we can.
9. Suspension and termination
A school may stop using the service as set out in its plan. We may suspend or end access for serious or repeated breach of these terms, for non-payment after notice, or where the law requires. On termination the school can export its data before it is deleted as described in our Privacy Policy.
10. Intellectual property
The service, its software and its design belong to ORNITHOAI Soft Tech Private Limited. The school keeps all rights in its own data and content.
11. Liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, and our total liability in any year is limited to the fees the school paid us in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
12. Changes
We may update these terms. We will give schools reasonable notice of material changes; continued use after they take effect means acceptance.
13. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India. Disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts at Hyderabad, Telangana.
